Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its result. Chambers County Court Docket does not retain or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept so our team can answer and preserve the exchange. We do not disclose that message outside the organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive routine technical information when a page loads, including:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure popular pages, visit paths, and where sessions end. Analytics providers combine that traffic into broader reports. A browser can block cookies, although some features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected information is used only to operate, assess, and support the website and its connected services:
- Sending a search request to the selected partner
- Maintaining availability, speed, and security
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Measuring which pages serve readers well
- Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Chambers County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of court cases or personal case-record information. It publishes directions to the Chambers County Circuit Clerk, the courts holding original records, and Alabama's trial-court access systems. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted to them. We do not control those practices, so review the provider's policy before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Alabama court portals, the Chambers County Circuit Clerk, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's policy controls the visit. Read it before sharing personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select ads. Their tracking is not operated by us.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected information. No internet system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is identified, a deletion request may be submitted.
Your Data Rights
Rights vary with the law that applies to the user and the data. Alabama court-record access is governed separately by the Alabama Rules of Court-Record Privacy and Confidentiality, Rule 33, and Alabama Code sections 36-12-40 and 36-12-41. Those authorities do not turn this private site's visitor data into an official court record. Subject to applicable law, a user may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
